Anti-Slip Floor Many people have asked me how do we Anti-Slip tiles. Firstly, the treatment is not a coating; it's a special type of Acid that works only on Ceramic Tiles, Granite, Marble and Concrete. Depending on the surface of the tile but these days, treatment can take anywhere from 2 min up to 1 hour to treat a square meter. Difference being where the tile was manufactured, this is why many of the Anti-Slip treatment chemicals you can purchase from your local hardware shop does not work. The Acids we use can actually kill people if spilt onto the skin, this is why we cannot sell the product in a bottle. We also use a mask when applying the treatment as the fumes are also very dangerous. We firstly start by cleaning the floor if need be, this is manly done when treating restaurant kitchens. Then we treat the floor to where we believe the effect of non-slip is sufficient. It is then washed or mopped off then double checked for anti-slip. At times we do treat the area again making sure it is at its effectiveness. Once the whole are is treated, we then neutralize the area making sure all Acids has been removed then it is then washed off with a hose if external or drainage available, if internal then we wash off with a mop using clean water.
